Modern Dating: Where Ghosts Outnumber People

You know what’s wrong with dating these days? Everything’s an audition. Everyone’s trying to be the most impressive version of themselves for someone who’s already bored halfway through the performance. It’s not about connection anymore, it’s about branding. Swipe left, swipe right, it’s a digital meat market with better lighting.

Nobody wants to fall anymore; they want to land safely. They don’t want sparks; they want strategy. The modern love story isn’t written in ink, it’s typed, edited, and deleted before it ever hits send. And God forbid you actually like someone. That’s the kiss of death. You show interest, and suddenly you’re the weaker one. The unspoken rule now is: whoever cares less, wins. What a stupid f***ing game.

Once upon a time, you’d meet someone, talk all night, lose sleep, and feel like the world just changed color. Now you meet someone, talk in emojis, and lose interest because they used the wrong laughing face. Dating used to be about finding the person who made you forget about the rest of the world. Now it’s about finding the one who fits your highlight reel.

Maybe that’s why everyone’s so lonely, too busy curating perfection to notice real love walking by in sweatpants, holding bad coffee and good intentions.
